Atelier Toporkoff is a studio dedicated to the creation and production of contemporary stained glass, founded in Paris by Sophie Toporkoff.
Driven by her love for drawing, honed during her ten years as Creative Director at Hermès, she makes it the starting point of all her creations.
Her stained glass works are an endless medium for imagination: pop reinterpretations of Cistercian interlacing, a graphic and geometric bestiary, neo-medieval floral visions… they follow the thread of imagination, reinventing themselves with each new creation.
Continuing a contemporary and eclectic vision of stained glass, the studio creates its own designs and collaborates with numerous talents from all over the world, often from fields far removed from traditional stained glass. Whether whimsical, classical, abstract, or edgy, their works share a graphic, narrative, and colourful vocabulary – the hallmark of Atelier Toporkoff’s stained glass.
While the studio has mastered the ancestral skills inherited from a long stained glass tradition in France, it often seeks to subvert them, pushing its pursuit of excellence toward innovative techniques.
